Product description

The Thistle Scientific Fast MiniSub (100 x 80 mm) is a compact, high-efficiency electrophoresis system designed for rapid analysis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. Known also as the MiniRapide, this all-in-one system allows gel casting, running, and analysis within the same ultra-compact unit—minimising setup time and reducing the risk of gel damage. With its UV-transparent base, gels can be directly visualised on a UV transilluminator without the need for transfer. Fast electrophoresis and minimal buffer requirements make this system ideal for time-sensitive applications in molecular biology and biochemistry laboratories.

Key Features:

  • Brand: Thistle Scientific
  • Gel Size: 100 x 80 mm for effective and space-efficient electrophoresis
  • Design: Fully integrated system for casting, running, and viewing gels in one unit
  • Base: UV-transparent base for direct gel visualization without transfer
  • Electrodes: Parallel electrode configuration for ultra-efficient current transfer and rapid run times (≤30 minutes)
  • Combs: Dual comb slots; includes 2 x 8-sample 1.5 mm combs (compatible with multichannel pipettes); up to 40 samples per gel
  • Application: Ideal for DNA, RNA, and protein electrophoresis in molecular biology workflows
  • Efficiency: Minimal buffer and gel volume required for cost-effective use
  • Packaging: Sold as a complete kit, ready for immediate use
